Butler Completes Certified Professional Coder Certification

Morganton ­ Elaine Butler of Cloud Surgical Solutions has been awarded the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential after successfully passing the national certification examination. A CPC is an individual who has achieved a certain level of knowledge and expertise in coding of services, procedures and diagnoses for physician practices and must have at least two years coding experience and maintain yearly educational requirements. The American Academy of Professional Coders (the Academy) was founded in an effort to elevate the standards of medical coding by providing ongoing education, certification, networking and recognition. Currently, the Academy has a membership base of nearly 38,000 worldwide.

Butler is the business operations manager for Dr. William G. Cloud at Cloud Surgical Solutions in Morganton.
