Surgeon Joins Cloud Surgical Solutions

Morganton - William G. Cloud, MD and staff welcomes David G. Ellertson, Jr., MD to Cloud Surgical Solutions at 117 Foothills Drive, Building D in Morganton.

Dr. Ellertson completed his undergraduate studies in English from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee and Biology from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah where he graduated Cum Laude. He obtained both a masters degree in physiology and his medical degree from the University Health Services, The Chicago Medical School, North Chicago, Illinois.

His surgical residency was completed at the University of Texas Houston Medical School, Houston, Texas and he recently finished is fellowship in cardiothoacic surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Ellertson is a native of California and in his spare time he enjoys fly-fishing, hunting, carpentry and spending time with his wife, Sun and their daughter, Audrey. Dr. Ellertson is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and specializes in cardiothoracic, vascular and general surgery.
