Disease Awareness Month
Morganton - There are more than 27 million Americans
who have some type of Thyroid Disease. The thyroid is a butterfly
shaped gland located in the neck with a primary function to control
metabolism. In recognition of Thyroid Disease Awareness Month, Dr.
William Cloud of Cloud Surgical Solutions will host a free health
program to discussing Thyroid Disease, specifically, overactive
and enlarged thyroids.
The program will be held Tuesday, January 24 at 6:30 pm in the
lobby of his office and will include information on the diagnosis
and treatment options, both surgical and non-surgical, as well as
the different types of thyroid cancers.
If you have a family history of thyroid disease, a medical history
of adrenal or calcium problems or have a lump that causes difficulty
swallowing and breathing, you should not miss this important health
program.
