Vascular Surgery (veins & arteries)
- Aneurysm: refers to the dilation of the blood vessel and can happen
throughout the body. In cases where the aneurysm is large
enough, there is an increased chance of rupture and death.
Aneurysms in the abdomen are amenable to open surgical
repair and endovascular repair.
- IVC Filters: for prevention of blood clots migrating to the lungs.
- Kidney Problems and Dialysis
- Arterial-Venous Fistulas: connections made in the arm that allow patients with kidney
failure to undergo dialysis.
